Mackenzie Foy has been cast as the lead for the screen adaptation of David Baldacci’s bestselling book “Wish You Well”.
WISH YOU WELL is a coming-of-age story set in the 1940s. After a family tragedy, a young girl moves from New York with her younger brother to live with their great-grandmother on a Virginia farm and comes closer to understanding the land and roots that inspired her father’s writings while discovering herself, the love of family and the power of truly believing.
This is a huge role for Mackenzie since the story is very emotional and is basically based on her character, so she’ll be carrying the film on her shoulders and will get plenty of screen time. Mackenzie will be starring along side Josh Lucas, Ellen Burstyn, Ned Bellamy, Laura Fraser, Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick and Alano Miller.
The film directed by Darnell Martin has already started Principal Photography in Giles County, VA.
Wish You Well is a collaboration between Life Out Loud Films, Baldacci Entertainment and Copper Beech Productions.
